Ha! I’m just finishing up a piece on how matching sets seem to be the dominant style choice in the WNBA! Loved this

Thank you so much for the mention! I am in firm agreement a coordinating set goes a long way in a wardrobe and will now be hunting for a fresh set this week...!

👏👏👏👏 coordinating sets have been on my mind lately and this is a brilliant look at how they can be incorporated into a full-time wardrobe!

Also, I appreciate your/Camilla words about Zara. Some of my most worn pieces are from fast fashion but that’s because I am buying with the intent of really wearing it!

Same! I usually buy fast fashion brands like Zara, Massimo Dutti and COS secondhand new with tags on Poshmark because for me the quality isn’t worth the retail price, but if I take really good care of the items and shop durable fabrics like cotton canvas and nylon taffeta, they’ll hold up to continuous wear.

Love the ideas!!!! For me, Pattern Play gets my vote above all else. With the multitude of mono-toned tops and bottoms stuffing my closet, a patterned top with jeans or patterned skirt with a black sweater or turtleneck spices things up! Thrift is an added bonus.

Moreover, I find that patterns are very forgiving of ever-changing female bodies (this one in particular as I’ve gone from slender and single, to pregnant, post-partum, middle aged and now—gracefully I might add— entering the salad days.*

And although I thought the books were closed on having to procure a wedding guest outfit, not so, as I’m now attending several of my college friends’ kids weddings 💒

oh, definitely. i wish someone would invite me to a wedding just so i could exercise this concept. maybe we can go out to dinner instead? :P

i got married in april and i ordered my mother 2 pant outfits for this very reason: so she could mix and match and get lots of wear vs a stuffy mother of the bride dress she certainly wouldn't use again! i'm visiting her next weekend...maybe I can borrow them. ha.

i'm 39 and she's 67 and I think this one works for any age: https://nautanky.com/collections/designer-coord-sets/products/heart-eyes (i did heaps of research to make sure it was a legit reputable company) and a set from cult gaia: https://www.reversible.com/shopping/women/item/cult-gaia-beckett-pant-959288148

which of course i'd love to borrow.

what a throwback with the 10 things: i remember having a tulle maxi skirt in HS from free people. hindsight is a bitch. why didn't i keep those things! <3
